On Monday, May 28, 2018, an introductory meeting took place between senior representatives of The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the leadership of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). Israel Academy President Prof. Nili Cohen, Vice-President Prof. David Harel and Academy Members Prof. Itamar Willner, Prof. Yadin Dudai and Prof. Zehev Tadmor took part from the Israeli side. The NSF was represented by its Director, Dr. France Córdova, and by Dr. Lara Campbell, a Program Director in the NSF’s Office of International Science and Engineering in. Senior representatives from the US Embassy in Israel also took part in the meeting.

 

Prof. Córdova described the work of the NSF and the relations between the Foundation and the US government. She stressed the importance of the Foundation’s relations with Israel and the joint NSF–ISF program.
