About the conference
The mass media is the general public’s primary source of information about science and technology, and shapes the way science and scientists are perceived by society. Recognizing the importance of how science is represented in the media and public discourse, the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities initiated a series of conferences on the subject.The annual Israeli Science Communication Conference explores the role of science in Israeli public discourse. The conference brings together scientists, media researchers, journalists, editors, spokespeople, formal and informal science educators, and others who care about the field of science communication, with the goal of creating a community of practitioners and researchers.
