On 26 October 2022, marking the first anniversary of the passing of Prof. Shaul Shaked, the Israel Academy held an international conference on “Religious Dynamics in Sasanian Iran.” Nine scholars presented papers on various aspects of Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism, Judaism, Christianity and magic in late antique Iran and the Near East. The scope of these papers reflected the breadth of Shaked’s research over many decades as well as the profound intellectual and personal impression he left upon his many colleagues and students. The Academy intends to publish the conference proceedings.
