An Agreement of Scientific Cooperation was signed with the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 1993, focusing on the mutual visits of senior scientists, exchange of information, joint research and the possibility of establishing joint research centers.

 

In May 2016, the then president of the Austrian Academy, Professor Anton Zelinger, visited Israel and met with Israel Academy president, Prof. Nili Cohen, and the members of the Academy Council. They discussed ways to increase cooperation between the two academies.
