The Korean Academy of Science and Technology
An Agreement for Scientific Cooperation was signed with The Korean Academy of Science and Technology in 1990. The then President of the Academy Professor Ruth Arnon attended the Inter-Academy Seoul Science Forum in November 2014 and facilitated a roundtable on women in science.
In July 2019, Prof. Nili Cohen, president of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and Academy vice president, Prof. David Harel, took part in an
official state visit to South Korea, with President of the State of Israel, Mr. Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin. The visit culminated in a meeting with the President of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) Prof. Min-Koo Han, in order to discuss potential future collaboration between the two academies. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two academies renewed their Agreement of Scientific Cooperation, which they signed during a ceremony presided over by President Rivlin.
