On January 20, 2019, a delegation from Azerbaijan, headed by the Vice President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Ibrahim Guliyev, and including representatives of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, the French-Azerbaijani University, and the Azerbaijan Ministry of Economy visited the Israel Academy.

 

The delegation met with Academy Member Prof. Zvi Ben-Avraham, Dr. Yizhaq Makovsky of the School of Marine Sciences of the University of Haifa, Academy Director Ms. Galia Finzi, and the Head of the Academy’s International Division, Ms. Jo Cohen.

 

At the meeting, the participants explored fields of mutual interest and potential academic cooperation in the field of gas and oil, from geo-hazard development and geo-chemistry to marine technology and adaptive technology for the off-shore industry and underwater research.
