The President of the Academy, Prof. Nili Cohen, attended in October the Academia Europaea conference entitled "Building bridges", held in Barcelona.

 

The keynote lecture was given by the anthropologist Dame Prof. Marilyn Strathern on the subject "Counting People".

 

There are Fifty-one Israeli scholars who are members of the Academia Europaea.

 

Prof. Cohen told the members of the Law and Social Sciences Division (to which she belongs) about the activities of the Israel academy, the multidisciplinary conferences, and the conference dedicated to The Challenges of Liberal Democracy, a topic that is at the center of activity of the European Academy.
