The biennial interdisciplinary workshop organized by
the Czech Academy of Sciences in cooperation with The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities took place in Prague on May 24–26, 2022.
The workshop was dedicated to “Law between State and History”. The lectures and discussions focused on various aspects of comparative analysis of historical and sociological developments, multiculturalism in the legal system, the mixed identity of Kafka reflecting a different concept of law and state, minorities’ rights, the role of the nation-state and the challenges it faces among them the issue of refugees, and the construction of political ideas.
President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Eva Zažímalová and Prof. Nili Cohen greeted the participants at the opening ceremony and related to the scientific fruitful cooperation between the two academies.
