On Friday, January 27, 2017, the President of the Israel Academy, Prof. Nili Cohen, and the Chairperson of Israel’s Council for Higher Education, Prof. Yaffa Zilbershats, paid an official visit to the European Organization for Nuclear Research – CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland.
On Friday, January 27, 2017, the President of the Israel Academy, Prof. Nili Cohen, and the Chairperson of Israel’s Council for Higher Education, Prof. Yaffa Zilbershats, paid an official visit to the European Organization for Nuclear Research – CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland. The European Particle Laboratory at CERN has served Israeli researchers for many years, enabling them to be exposed to this cutting-edge physics laboratory and its facilities and to participate in fruitful scientific collaborations with researchers on the frontier of physics research all over the world.
Israel joined CERN as its twenty-first member in 2014. The visit was organized by Prof. Eliezer Rabinovici, Vice President of the board of CERN and Chair of the High Energy Physics Committee at the Israel Academy.
