Oleksii Matsedonskyi is a post-doctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Gilad Perez at the Weizmann Institute, working in the field of theoretical particle physics. He received his M.A. from Paris 11 University and his Ph.D. from the University of Padua, under the supervision of Prof. A. Wulzer. His doctoral research focused on the phenomenology of composite Higgs models. Subsequently, Oleksii worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) and DESY (the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, Hamburg).
His research interests are related to the physics beyond the Standard Model. In particular, he is currently studying the electroweak phase transition and the generation of the baryon asymmetry in various Standard Model extensions. He also works on assessing the physics potential of future particle colliders.
