Dr. Oleksii Matsedonskyi

Oleksii Matsedonskyi is a post-doctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Gilad Perez at the Weizmann Institute, working in the field of theoretical particle physics. He received his M.A. from Paris 11 University and his Ph.D. from the University of Padua, under the supervision of Prof. A. Wulzer. His doctoral research focused on the phenomenology of composite Higgs models. Subsequently, Oleksii worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) and DESY (the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, Hamburg).
His research interests are related to the physics beyond the Standard Model. In particular, he is currently studying non-restoration of the electroweak symmetry at hight temperature (work presented at TOP2019 conference in Beijing) and the generation of the baryon asymmetry (recent results published in arXiv:1812.07638). He also works on assessing the physics potential of future particle colliders (see arXiv:1812.02093). Finally, he studies the experimental signatures of ultra-light dark matter.
