On May 15, the Bulgarian Ambassador to Israel, Ms. Slavena Gergova, accompanied by her deputy, Mr. Yulian Yakimov, visited the Academy.

 

During the visit, the ambassador met with the President of the Academy, Prof. David Harel, and his deputy, Prof. Margalit Finkelberg. They discussed the relationship between the Israeli Academy and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with which there has been a scientific cooperation agreement since 1995. They also talked about strengthening scientific ties between the countries and the challenges currently facing Israeli science in light of the war.
