Congratulations to Academy Member Prof. Yinon Ben-Neria from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on winning the 2025 Israel Prize in Medicine Research.

 

Prof. Ben-Neria, a physician, immunologist, and researcher, received the prize for his exceptional achievements in cancer research. His groundbreaking studies have led to the development of various anti-cancer drugs, from anti-inflammatory agents to cancer inhibitors, with one of his significant discoveries leading to the development of a drug for treating blood cancer patients that is now widely used around the world. This award recognizes his significant contribution to the field of medicine and its far-reaching impact on the lives of many patients.
