On 24 July 2025, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Jerusalem hosted the
Falling Walls Lab Israel Academy - a prestigious international competition that invites young researchers, students, and graduates of advanced degrees to present groundbreaking ideas with the potential to break down existing barriers in science, society, or technology - all in just a three-minute pitch.
This year’s first prize was awarded to Hadas Omer from the Technion for her project, "Breaking the Wall of Cardiovascular Disease". Her research, which proposes an innovative approach to tackling one of the world’s leading health challenges - cardiovascular disease- earned her recognition and a place in the global Falling Walls Lab finale to be held this November in Berlin.
