Joseph Perl: Hasidic Tales and Letters

Edited from the original mansucripts with an introduction and annotations
This previously unknown work by Joseph Perl is reconstructed from five manuscripts of differing provenance and times of discovery: ' The Story of the Lost Prince', in Yiddish; a fictional correspondence between followers of Rabbi Nahman of Bratslav, in Hebrew; The Completion of the 'Story of the Lost Princess' by Rabbi Nahman of Bratslav, in Hebrew; 'The Story of the Lost Prince', in Hebrew; and Outlines and Notes for 'The Story of the Lost Prince', in Hebrew. The comprehensive Introduction describes how the manuscript was compiled, the hasidic sources of the work and Joseph Perl's world of Enlightenment ideas.
