General:

The National Committee on Synchrotron Radiation of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities aims to facilitate research in the field of synchrotron radiation and to serve as a principal address for collecting information on this subject and disseminating it to researchers in Israel. 

Among other things, the Committee oversees and facilitates the activity of research groups from Israel at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble, France, and the Synchrotron for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) facility in Amman, Jordan.

The Committee aims to broaden the use of synchrotron facilities around the world by Israeli scientists in a wide range of fields, including life sciences and medicine, exact sciences, engineering, archaeology, etc.

Researchers are invited to contact Dr. Yael Ben Haim regarding subjects relating to the use of synchrotron facilities and for new researchers to obtain help with applications to the various facilities.
