Czymara’s research lies at the intersection of sociology and political communication. His main interest is in immigration and integration, with a particular focus on media discourses and on significant events and their impact on public attitudes, perceptions, and behavior. He investigates these topics based on longitudinal and cross-national data, quantitative text corpora, and computational social science tools. Detailed information on his vita and publications is available at https://czymara.com.

In his postdoctoral research at Tel Aviv University hosted by Prof. Anastasia Gorodzeisky Czymara will study the social consequences of exogenous events such as terrorist attacks, based on secondary survey data and self-collected social media data. In addition, he will work with Prof. Gorodzeisky on the social meanings of migration-related measures.
