The Fund for the Advancement of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Israel (2017-2022)

The Fund promoted research in Israel by awarding financial support for seminars, as well as fellowship and workshop programs.

The Batsheva de Rothschild Fund

The Batsheva de Rothschild Fund was established to advance science in Israel for the people of Israel. The fund was designed to be uniquely flexible and proactive, constantly shifting areas of priority to meet the emerging needs of Israeli science. Most recently, the Batsheva de Rothschild Fund simultaneously operated three separate grant programs, simultaneously supporting seminars in cutting-edge areas of science, interdisciplinary workshops, and fellowships for leading experts from abroad to visit Israel.

Postdoctoral Fellowships in Nuclear Physics (2022-2023)

The goal of the postdoctoral fellowships in nuclear physics established by The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities is to expand and enhance academic excellence in this discipline in Israel. The fellowships are intended for outstanding young researchers interested in going abroad for postdoctoral training in nuclear physics at a leading foreign institution, for whom this will be their first postdoctoral training abroad. 

Emergency Postdoctoral Fellowships for Israeli Researchers in Israel (2020-2021)

The COVID-19 pandemic raised many challenges for the scientific world in general and for young researchers in particular. In response, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities established an emergency fellowship program for outstanding Israeli postdoctoral researchers who were unable to complete their postdoctoral research programs abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emergency Fellowships for Ukrainian Researchers (2022-2023)

As an immediate response to the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities funded ten Emergency Fellowships for Ukrainian Researchers in April 2022 to allow them the opportunity to continue their scientific work in Israel for a duration of three months. 

(2022-2023) Special Fellowships for Russian Researchers

Following the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities funded Emergency Fellowships for Russian Researchers who had to flee the country because of their disagreement with the government’s policy.
