On February 20, 2024, the Italian Ambassador, H.E. Sergio Barbanti, visited the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, accompanied by Prof. Giuseppe Falini, Scientific Attaché at the Embassy of Italy in Tel Aviv. The two met with Academy President Prof. David Harel and Former President of the Israel Academy Prof. Nili Cohen. During the meeting, they discussed academic and scientific relations between Italy and Israel, and the expressed a wish to strengthen collaborations between the Israel Academy and the Italian National Academy of Science - the Lincei.

 

They were later joined by Prof. Margalit Finkelberg, Academy Vice-President, Prof. Sergiu Hart, Chairperson of Humanities Division, Galia Finzi, the Academy’s Director Galia Finzi, and Dr. Neta Peretz, Head of International Relations at the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
