Srestha Basu

Srestha Basu completed her schooling in India at the Assembly of God Church School, scoring 93.4% and 90.5 %, respectively, on her class 10 and 12 board exams. She received her BSc in chemistry from Scottish Church College, with a high score of 78.74 %, and then pursued her MSc at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. She completed her PhD at the same institute, under the supervision of Prof. Anumita Paul, on the topic of “Crystalline Assembly of Gold Nanoclusters Mediated via Complexation Reactions.”
 
After completing her doctorate, Srestha moved to France to pursue postdoctoral research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), under the supervision of Dr. Rodolphe Antoine. Between 2014 and 2020, in the course of her doctoral and postdoctoral research, she published sixteen research papers – eleven of them as the first author – in reputed international journals. She also has a patent to her credit.
